Defying the Capitol

An act of defiance in Catching Fire is when someone goes against authority, rebellion is mostly the same thing .

Katniss showed an act of defiance when she did the three fingers and kissed them. Also when she was in the arena last time and when her and peeta where going to eat the berries. That was defiant because she showed up president snow. Also her and peeta made them change the arena rules.

Peeta also showed an act of defiance when he went into the interview and painted a picture of Rue. He painted the picture to show them that it was their fault a innocent 12 year old died in their own games.

The tributes showed an act of defiance when they all stood up and held hands to present a united front. It's defiant because they are banning together.

 Cinna also showed an act of defiance when he made Katnisses dress. He did her dress so when she spun it changed into a mockingjay. This act would be considered defiant because the mockingjay means hope to the people. To president snow its the worst thing ever.

Peeta did another act of defiance when he told everyone that Katniss is pregnant and getting married to Peeta. Which are all lies . this is defiant because he lied to president snow.

These would all be acts of defiance in the Hunger Games \ Catching Fire .

In conclusion the act I felt was most defiant was when peeta painted the picture of Rue . I felt this was most defiant because he made sure that president snow know that it was his fault it's his fault that a innocent 12 year old died in his games .
