GONE

  A conflict is a struggle between two forces. In the book GONE there are several conflicts. One example is when Sam is having trouble with his own power. This is an example of character vs. self which makes it an internal & external conflict. It's internal because he has to try to control his powers and make the decision on when to use it. It's external because it's a power and it comes from the inside but affects the outside. I can predict that this conflict will be resolved when he learns to control his powers. Another possible conflict that could happen in this book is that Sam could accidentally kill or injure someone else. This would make the book interesting because it could make Sam really upset or other people and all kinds of things could happen if his powers were exposed to everyone under the dome.
