A conflict is a struggle between two forces. In the book GONE there are several examples of conflicts. One example is Sam is scared of his own power because he can’t control it and he killed a little girl. This is an example of character vs self which makes it a internal conflict. I can predict this conflict will be resolved by him disappearing because he’s almost  15 and once you’re older than 14 you disappear. Another possible way is he might learn how to control his powers.  Another possible conflict that could happen is Sam might disappear or he might kill someone else. This would make the story interesting because Sam is the main character and if he disappeared it’d really make you think.  If he killed someone else that’d be messed up.
