A conflict is a struggle between two forces. In the book GONE, there are several conflicts. One example is, when Sam burned off his dad’s hand. This is an example of character vs. self which makes it an internal conflict. I can predict that this conflict will be resolved when he says he’s sorry or tells someone about it. Another possible conflict that could happen in this book is Sam could hurt someone, like Astrid. This would make the book more interesting because he would kill his loved one (Astrid).
