A conflict is a struggle between forces. In the book GONE there are several conflicts. One example is that Sam blasted his step-dads hand off. This is an example of character vs character which makes it an external conflict. I can predict that this conflict will be resolved when his parents come back to earth if they do. Another possible conflict that could happen in this book is if their parents never came back to earth. This would make the book interesting because so we could see how long the kids could survive without any adults around.
