A conflict is a struggle between two forces. In the book Gone there are several conflicts. One example is when Pete choked Sam. This is an example of character vs character which makes it an external conflict. This conflict was resolved when Sam blast Pete with his superpowers. Another possible conflict  that could happened in this book is that the world could end. This would make the book interesting because they survive with their superpowers.
