The first stage of plot is exposition. The exposition introduces characters and setting. It also revels a possible conflict. In the exposition of Catching Fire Katniss has returned to Distract 12 and she is not getting along with Peeta and Haymitch. President Snow also vists Katniss and threatens her and her family.
The second stage of plot is rising action. The rising action develops the conflict or struggle. In Catching Fire, Katniss and Peeta went to the capitol for The Quarter Quell. Cinna got beaten to death right in front of Katniss
The third stage of plot is climax. The climax is the greatest interest point. In the climax of Catching Fire, Katniss and Peeta team up with Finnick, Katniss blew up the Arena
The forth stage of plot is Falling action it shows how the conflict is resolved. In the falling action of Catching Fire, Katniss,Beete and Finnick are in the hovercraft, Katniss finds out that Peeta and the rest are at the Capitol as prisoners
The finial stage of plot is resolution, The resolution in a story ties up loose ends. The resolution in Catching Fire, Katniss finds that Gale her mom and Prim got out of District 12 and District 12 is no more.
