Catching Fire: Defying the Capitol
An act of defiance is when someone goes against authority. In the book Catching Fire, we see many acts of rebellion against the Capitol.
During her private session, Katniss hung a manican and painted the name, "Seneca Crane" on it. It was defiant because, Seneca Crane was the previous Game maker. He had let there be two winners of the 74th annual Hunger Games.
During his interview, Peeta told Ceasar he and Katniss were already married and that she was pregnant. This is also defiant because he wanted to make the people of the Capitol feel sorry for Katniss.
In their interviews, the tributes said that President have much power, because if he did, he would end the Games. They also held hands to show they're united. These would be considered defiant acts, because they are turning people against President Snow and that they are not enemies.
During Katniss's interview, it was revealed that Cinna designed her wedding dress to burn into a Mockingjay as she spun around. This was an act of rebellion because the Mockingjay is the symbol of defiance.
IN conclusion, I think what Cinna did was the most rebellious act. I think this because the Mockinjay is the symbol of defiance. Also Snow demanded that Katniss wear her wedding dress and Cinna burnt it.
