Term One Reflection

              In term 1 we have learned about the stages of plot, wrote a paper about Catching Fire and we read the Hunger Games. We have also been learning about story elements. An example of a story element is conflict. A conflict is a struggle between two forces.

             In a story you ca have internal conflicts and external conflicts. An internal conflict is a problem in a characters head. Where as an external conflict is a problem between a character and something else. Looking back over what we've read so far, one conflict I remember was in the book Tale-Tell Heart, he doesn't like the mans eye. This is an example of an character Vs. character conflict. It was resolved when he killed him.
            
              In Language Arts class, my greatest academic achievement this term is get an A all year long. Im proud of myself because I stay after to get my grades up. The part I struggle with most is reading becasue sometimes i get confused and lost. The plan to improve my learning in this area is to read more outside of school more.
             
              If you were to ask Miss Lewis what kind of student I am she would say I am an outgoing loud person. I agree with her because that's how I am.
