In term 1 we have watched " The Hunger Games", we've read "Catching Fire", & we have played games. We have also been learning about story elements. An example of a story element is conflict. A conflict is a problem in a story. In a story you can have internal conflicts & external conflicts. An internal conflict is a problem in a story referred to you whereas an external conflict is a problem in a story not referred to you. Looking back over what we've read so far, one conflict I remember was during a movie we were watching. This is an example of an external conflict. It was resolved when we were watching "The Hunger Games" movie.
In language Arts class, my greatest academic achievement this term is getting all my assignments done and getting good grades. I am proud of myself because so far I have gotten good grades and I have mostly all my assignments done. The part one struggle with the most is when I get confused sometimes during a conflict because I dont know which conflict im dealing with. The plan to improve my learning in this area is to practice the kind of conflicts in a story.
If you were to ask Miss Lewis what kind of student I am, she would probably say that I am quiet, and that I do my work. I agree with her because I am like that and lots of people tell me this.
