Reflection

 In Term 1 we have learned many new vocabulary words and studied them by playing a card game of "I Have, Who Has".  We have also been learning about story elements. An example if a story element is conflict. A conflict is a struggle between two forces. In a story you can have internal conflicts and external conflicts. An Internal conflict is character vs. self where areas an external conflict is character vs. nature. Looking back over what we've read so far, one conflict I remember was Katniss vs. Gale. This is an example of an character vs. character conflict. It wasn't resolved, they are still mad and upset at each other.

  In Language Arts class, my greatest academic achievement this term is getting a better understanding of language arts. I am proud of myself because my grades are great I understand this class very well and i love this class. The part I struggle with the most is focusing in class because i space off sometimes. The plan to improve my learning in this area is to pay attention and not let anything distract me.

If you were to ask Miss Lewis what kind of student I am, she would probably say "Melanie is a great student in my class, I don't have any problems with her and she's a very nice student". I agree with her because I try my best to have a good grade in this class, I am determined to achieve my goal in this class.
