A conflict is a struggle between two forces. In the book GONE there are several conflicts. One example is one wants to take over.  This is an example of Cane vs society which makes it an external conflict. I can predict that this conflict will be resolved when he takes over. Another possible conflict that could happen in this book is more of the kids could get powers and use them for bad. This would make the book more interesting because the might have to fight for their survival.
