Conflict- a struggle between two forces. In the book gone there are several conflicts, one example is the adults all disappeared. this is an example of character vs nature or character vs society. this makes it an external conflict. I can predict that the conflict will be resolved when they figure out where the adults went. Another possible conflict is when someone set fire to that building. this makes the book interesting because you never know how the kids will react in a life or death situation.
