A conflict is a struggle between two forces. In the book GONE there are several conflicts. One example is all the adults have disappeared, and the oldest people left are only 15 then they disappear. This is an example of character vs. society. I can predict that this be resolved when all the adults come back.
Another possible conflict the could happen in this book is all the adults never come back. This would make the book interesting because all the kids would live by themselves forever until age 15.
