Conflict A conflict is a struggle between to forces.

       I the book GONE there are several conflicts. One is that Sam accidently killed the little girl in the fire. This is an example of character vs. character witch makes it a external conflict. I can predict that this conflict will be resolved when all the kids from Coats Academy all die. Another possible conflict that could happen is that the dome will explode. This will make that book more interesting because I would want to read the next book to see who live and who dies.
