An act of defiance is when a person goes against authority. In the book catching fire we see many acts of defiance or rebellion against the capitol.
In katniss's private session she took a dummy and hung it around the neck and wrote Senaca Crane on it. In Peeta's private session he painted a picture of rue when Katniss put flowers around her dead body.
In their interviews they said that president snow didn't have that much power cause if he did he would end the hunger games. They held hands to that they were united. These would be rebellion acts cause they are turning people against snow and showing they were no enemies.
During Katniss's interview it revealed that Cinna designed her wedding dress to burn into a mockingjay as she spun around. This was an act of defiance because the mockingjay is the symbol of the rebellion.
The act that I think was the most defiant was Cinna cause he turned Katniss's dress into a mockingjay.
