Term 1 Reflection

               In term 1 we have learned about an elephant, conflicts, and point of view. We have also been learning about story elements. An example of a story element is a conflict. A conflict is a struggle between 2 forces. In a story you can have internal conflicts and external conflicts. An internal conflict is a character vs character conflict whereas an external conflict is a conflict between society, nature, or another character. Looking back over what we've read so far, one conflict I remember was the conflict with the patch work elephant and all of the normal elephants. This is an example of a character vs society conflict. It was resolved when every normal elephant made clear to the patch work elephant that they like him just the way he is.Then after,  they had some big parade and all the normal elephants painted themselves colorful and bright with a beautiful pattern and the patch work elephant painted himself as a normal elephant.


              In  Language Arts class, my greatest academic achievement this term is the vocabulary. I am proud of myself because I learned the vocabulary at a unusual fast paste. The part I struggle with the most is reading books because I dont like to read. The plan to improve my learning in this area is to be a little more attentive when Im reading so that I dont get so boared.




              If you were to ask Miss Lewis what kind of student I am, she would probably say that Im a descent student. I agree with her because sometimes Im a great student, then other times Im not really feeeling in the mood so Im not at my best.
