Term 1 Reflection

In term 1 we have learned point of view, stages of plot and conflict. We have also been learning about story elements. An example of a story element is conflict. A conflict is a struggle between two forces. In a story you can have internal conflict and external conflict. An internal conflict is a character vs. him or herself whereas an external conflict is a character vs. nature, society, or another character. Looking back over what we've read so far, one conflict I remember was when Katniss had to decide wether to tell Haymitch about President Snows visit or not. This is an example of an Internal conflict. It was resloved when she finally told him and Haymitch promised not to tell anybody.
In Language Arts class, my greatest academic achievement this term is taking text evidence and making paragraphs.I am proud of myself because I have a great family and some really awesome friends. The part I struggle with the most is remembering what I just read. The plan to improve my learning is this area is to sit up front and hear Miss. Lewis a little bit better than sitting in the back and trying to listen to her over the loud boys!
If you were to ask Miss. Lewis what kind of student I am, she would probably say that I am a outstanding student and that I always help my peers. I agree with her because I do my work and I always turn it in on time and I am always helping my classmates.
