In term 1 we have started read The Hunger Games Catching Fire and Watched The Hunger Games movie. We have also been learning about story elements. An example of a story element is conflict. A conflict is a struggle between to forces.
In a story you can have internal and external conflicts. An internal conflict between one's own mind whereas an external conflict is and conflict between either another character, nature, and or society. Looking back over what we've read so far, one conflict I remember was when Marvel killed Rue in the arena. This is an example of external conflict. It was resolved when Katniss killed Marvel.
In Language Arts class, my greatest academic achievement the term is vocabulary. I am proud of myself because I have expanded my vocabulary a lot and I sound smarter. The part I struggle with the most is comprehending what I read. The plan to improve my learning in this area is to read more.
If you were to ask Miss Lewis what kind of student i am, she would probably say I'm a little chatty but I get my work done, and I pay attention. I agree with her because I usually am like that.
