In term 1 we have read A Tale Tell  Heart by Edgar Allen Poe and Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins. We have been learning about story elements. A conflict is an internal or external problem in a story. An internal conflict is a disagreement between yourself adn your thoughts, whereas an external conflict is an outside force against the protagonist. Looking back over what we've read so far, one conflict i remember was the main guy in Edgar Allen Poe's story couldn't decide whether to kill the old man or not. This is an example of an internal conflict. It was resolved when the main guy killed the old man in the end.
        In Language Arts, my greatest academic achievement this term is my grade. I am proud of myself because thats a pretty good thing to achieve in a class. The part i struggle with the most is the writing assigments because i dont like writing with a guideline to a boring paper assignment. The plan to improve my learning in this area is to deal with it.
         If you were to ask Miss Lewis what kind of student i am, she would probably say that i am just a mediacore sstudent in her 2nd period class. I agree with her because i am just a mediacore student in her 2nd period class.
