In term 1 we have read Catching Fire, watched The Hunger Games and learned vocabulary words. We have also been learning about story elements. An example of a story element is conflict. A conflict is a problem between two forces. In a story you can have internal conflicts and external conflict. A internal conflict is a conflict within someone where as external is a conflict a person or nature. Looking back on what we've read so far, one conflict i remember was Martin was afraid of a fat lady and he took the stairs instead of riding the elevator. This is an example of external conflict. It was resolved when he stopped being a wimp and got in the elevator, but idk what happened next.

In Language Arts class, my greatest academic achievement this term is working more and harder than usual in Language Arts. I am so proud myself because I barely go to class and start working and try . The part I struggle with the most is when we have to read because i don't like reading books .
The plan to improve my learning in this area is to focus and listen and I will know what i need to know.

If you were to ask Miss Lewis what kind of student am i, she would probably say a good student. I agree with her because i am pretty good.

  1. Brandon- why is "ikd" in your paper? Please make sure you read your writing out loud to yourself. I'm pretty sure you meant to say, "I start working as soon as you walk into the classroom" but that's not how your paragraph reads.
