At the party people are expected to eat food and throw up so you can continue eating. Katniss and Peeta find it odd. They don't agree with the idea to do it. The people at the party think it's okay and normal to do . Katniss think it's ridiculous they're wasting food while other are starving .
First Gale wanted to run away and he was into the plan. "Okay let's run away" he said. Then Katniss brings up Peeta and he gets mad and snaps. "Im sorry i didn't realize how large our party was." It effects the mood of the story because he was calm at first than mad by the end. "He snaps at me" Says Katniss.
